Thank you all for sending in your wonderful recipes for the Aug 2011 Event of the Kerala Kitchen. We had a total of 25 entries and it was a difficult task for me to choose the winners for different categories. Kerala Kitchen - Aug 2011 Event Announcement

I am delighted to host this month's Kerala Kitchen. This event, initiated by Rose and Ria, celebrates Kerala cuisine and is a very popular one in the blogosphere.  I am looking forward to all your active participation in the event to make it into a grand success.

In order to submit your Kerala dishes or Kerala-inspired dishes for the month of August, please do so before Aug 31st, 2011 by filling out the form below this post.

Make sure to add a link to this post as well as the main event page of Kerala Kitchen to the posts you are submitting!

Another change from the exisiting rules is that old posts are not allowed for this event anymore.

"Cooking with your Little Sous-chef " Curtain Call

A big thanks to all my blogger friends who contributed to my first event, by sending in your wonderful recipes that you enjoy making with your little ones.
The  article "Eat, Play, Love" in the Parenting Magazine (March, 2011), lists, "kids will behave better, their listening skills improve, science and math comes to life, and it broadens their understanding of the world", as some of the benefits of making your little chef's help out in the kitchen. What more reason you need to have these little helpers in the kitchen? It is totally worth the mess and extra effort.
